ABOUT US

The Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) Film Festival, a 501c3 not-for-profit, celebrates and promotes independent filmmaking in the Santa Clarita Valley through three key initiatives: 1) an annual competitive film festival; 2) open forum screenings for independent filmmakers throughout the year; and 3) Script 2 Screen, a hands-on filmmaking program for youth and
adults.

The SCV Film Festival brings together a diverse selection committee dedicated to judging and selecting films purely on the basis of their merit. Films are accepted year-round. Click here for details.

The SCV Film Festival's open forum screenings are open to all filmmakers and films, including Works in Progress. For details about our next screening, click here and email us at info@scvfilmfestival.com to request a slot at our next screening.

Script2Screen is an innovative program that gives students an opportunity to develop important life skills while also discovering the joys of filmmaking. Through Script2Screen, students learn important filmmaking skills, such as storytelling, screenwriting, acting, directing, cinematography, editing, animation, etc.
